As a dedicated one-on-one youth worker, I am committed to guiding and supporting young individuals on their unique journeys. With a passion for empowering today’s youth, I bring 9 years of experience in Youth Work, Outreach Work, Social Work, and Mental Health Treatment Centres for youth. I currently am employed as a Child and Youth Care worker for the Surrey School District of British Columbia to provide more personalized support for vulnerable youth. 

My approach revolves around establishing a safe and nurturing environment where young minds feel encouraged to freely explore their thoughts, feelings, and aspirations. Utilizing a strength-based approach with a nurturing approach and viewing experiences through a trauma-informed lens, I empower youth to surmount challenges, build resilience, and unlock their inherent potential. 

With a wealth of experience in assisting youth encountering various hurdles such as mental health issues, behavioural concerns, motivational struggles, self-esteem challenges, and a spectrum of other obstacles, I bring a nuanced understanding and expertise in addressing diverse needs. This background equips me with the skill to craft individualized sessions that precisely cater to the unique requirements of each young individual on a case-by-case basis.

Beyond merely mentoring, my objective is to become a steadfast companion in their journey toward growth and development. Through a supportive and empathetic approach, I guide youth on the path of self-discovery, fostering silence and self-belief. it’s not solely about providing guidance; it’s about empowering them to embrace their strengths and overcome challenges confidently.

I strive to provide comprehensive and ongoing support, ensuring a continuous trajectory of progress for the youth I engage with. additionally, I collaborate with families, at the confidential discretion of the youth, offering valuable resources and strategies to create a conducive environment for growth and positivity.
